Hosted my first get together in the new place this past weekend for Essie’s birthday. (Can I just add that this girl is pretty awesome..) I woke up extra early Saturday to bake a cake, 3 layers of classic vanilla & chocolate goodness. Had no luck finding fresh flowers at the farmer’s market so picked a few from the garden – kind of cute, right? The rest of the gang brought delicious snacks & drinks… it was such a good night. I know I’ve been saying that a lot lately… but I just can’t get over how great Vancouver has been to me:)

ps: how about those hawks!!?! Yess! GO HAWKS! Happiest girl in Vancouver, I’m sure of it! Chicago in 5 days – eaaaaaa:)
