I have a crazy sweet tooth. and when I say crazy I really mean I’m the girl who eats cake for breakfast, orders dessert before dinner and finishes every meal with something sweet regardless of how full I am. Last year I gave up refined sugar for 3 weeks and it was extremely challenging. I felt absolutely incredible after, but honestly, that just doesn’t fit into my lifestyle. Instead I try to cut back on the sugar intake a few days during the work week. I find bringing these little “oaties” as I like to call them along in my sack lunch satisfies the sweet tooth while adding a little energy to 3 o’clock coffee crash.
They’re super simple to make, so so yummy and lack any bad-for-you ingredients! I mixed up sunflower butter, honey and regular oats then rolled them into bite-size bits. Peanut & Almond butter work great, too. Feel free to throw in some dried fruit! I just used what I had on hand at the time.
Happy healthy snacking:)
