Hey there Angela’s lovelies!
Last week I promised you an update on something that I have been hard at work on the past few weeks. Well, dear readers, I launched my new website! seanwalton.net. I am not at all familiar with graphic design, writing code, or anything like that. This is far from a solo venture. A friend of mine set me up with the domain and theme, etc. All of the pictures are the work of a fantastic photographer who is also a friend of mine. There were a number of others who lent a critical eye and gave helpful suggestions as we neared the final stages.
Does this happen for you, or am I just perhaps an unnecessarily lucky human being? You endeavor to make something reality. There are challenges, and you aren’t sure how you are going to face them. Then the universe conspires to remind you that you are not alone, for you have friends. Believe me, I know a website may not be a big deal to some. But it is to me. It is part of my efforts to take my career to a new level. I hadn’t the slightest clue how to make it come about. The only thing I had (other than determination to get it up and running) was a support system of very gifted and giving friends who were there will helping hands to guide this whole endeavor into reality.
I just want to take this moment to joy in the fact that I have incredible friends. I really do; I feel like I was dealt a remarkably unfair hand in the friendship department. I have friends who are smart, funny, loving, genuine, loyal, and truer than true. I invite you to take this moment with me and think about the people in your life whom you can rely on, who are there for you thick and thin, who hold you up when you’re down and are the first to celebrate your successes and triumphs. Can you see that person or persons? Does the thought bring a smile to your face? Connect with them today to thank them for being in your corner. Confirm or reconfirm a commitment with them to do the same. If you aren’t sure if you have that from your friends, first stop and take a look at yourself, and make sure that those you are committed to in friendship know that you are the one they can count on. Knowing that someone is there for you, and you for them, without it being a question or a thought – THAT is my joy today.
joy in action,
Sean
